Drammens Museum is located at the historic Marienlyst estate in Drammen. Marienlyst houses the permanent collections of Nøstetangenglass glass, Baroque silver, ceramics from the 1700s, furniture, textiles, interiors, religious art and folk art, as well as the museum’s permanent art and design collection.
In the museum park on Marienlyst a country villa stands from the late 1700s, as well as a small collection of timber buildings from Hallingdal and the new Lyche Pavilion (1990) for temporary art and craft exhibitions.
THE PERMANENT GALLERY displays Norwegian artwork ranging from the time of JC Dahl to the present day. Within ten separately colored rooms, small historical art environments have been created. One room is dedicated to work from Hans Heyerdahl.
