Seahouse accommodation in Lofoten. The white seahouse Joh L. Unstad Sjøhus, situated in Maervoll, offers a rorbu holiday and has over 40 beds. There are 2-6 beds in each room. The seahouse is spacious and perfect for backpackers, youth groups, hiking groups and other low budget groups. This budget-based accommodation has its own quay with a gorgeous view over the fjord and the Lofoten mountains Himmeltindene, and is only 10 kilometres away from the Lofotr Viking Museum in Borg. The seahouse actually belongs to a little place called Sortland (in Steinfjorden), but due to the risk of confusion because of the city Sortland in Vesterålen, the nabour town of Maervoll is commonly used to indicate the location. Our house offers a sense of comfort and rusticity, and dates back 130 years – with a grassturf roof and a perfect view over the fjord.
