Odderøya Museumshavn

Odderøya museum harbor offers maritime activities and has a special focus on plastic boat's history and småbåtliv after World War II. Activity house is open during the summer, in other school holidays and during special events. We offer activities for children of various kinds, showing an exhibition on the founder Roald Skibsrud and plastic boat advancing in the south. In the workshop given audiences an insight into how plastic boats cast. The cafe 'Kabyssen "sells freshly made waffles in the museum's opening, and behind the activity house is a playground that can be used all year round.

Summertime visitors can borrow rowing boat, use water binoculars, make crab lace, bark boats, play at the world's only "dobbofon" and much more. On "Sommerøya" on the headland can throw in a beach chair and listen to people's summer memories. Every summer since 2011, there has been floating Boat exhibition of classic plastic boats in cooperation with private owners. This continued every year, and now is also fine, shiny wooden boats part of the floating exhibition.
