Visit Årviksand

Årviksand is a village with 170 people, beautifully situated on the outskirts of Arnøy, with the great sea just outside. Årviksand is a typical fishing village that is surrounded by beautiful scenery that attracts hiking and recreation.

For deep sea fishing, Årviksand is an excellent starting point for some of the best fishing spots in Norway. Here there are good opportunities to get big fish like cod, halibut and catfish.

We offer a large newly restored house of good standard. The house is located on the beach edge overlooking the big sea and north Fugløy. In addition, we have an apartment of 100 m2 located in the center of the village. The apartment is located in a vertical house with good views over the village and the sea.

Deep sea fishing

For deep sea fishing, Årviksand is a great starting point for some of the best fishing spots in Norway. Here you can get big fish of cod, saithe, halibut and catfish. Visit Årviksand rents out cabin boats with heat in the cabin, sonar, chartplotter and gps and rod holders. Everything made for your deep sea fishing holiday.

Mountaineering

Arnøya in Nord Troms is an Eldorado for skiing holidays with top skiing. The Norwegian Crown Prince has tested out the mountain peaks and freeriding on Arnøya. Bring your top skiing; either randonee or telemark.

Hiking

Arnøya will be described by many as wild and beautiful with a beautiful nature. With the possibility of top hikes and climbing in steep mountains.

Another thing to do is to go hiking in the mountains near the coast. In the fall, blueberries and cranberries are good. This is also an attractive hunting ground for hunting for grouse. There are also marked cultural trails.

Northern Lights

In winter, the Northern Lights dance. Out here on the big sea between mountains, sea and sky, there are great opportunities to get good photos of northern lights.

Birdwatching

Half an hour in the boat north and we find Nordfugløy. Nord-Fugløy is one of Norway’s most famous bird mountains, where Europe’s largest sea eagle tribe, alcs, puffins and peacocks are found. The island is protected as a nature reserve. We offer good boats with cabin for trips here. Possibility of guided tours.
