Os is situated in Nord-Østerdalen, all the way north in the region of Hedmark, and is strategically placed on the axe between Trondheim and Oslo.
Os Museum was created in 1983 and is a cultural historic museum where objects has been preserved in its original place. The museum is owned and run by the municipality of Os and share responsibility with the museums of Nord-Østerdalen.
Oddentunet has fixed opening hours with guided tours in the summer. To see the other objects, it needs to be arranged in advance.
